I moved here in 1979. As a student in Navasota, I was honored to serve in local and regional FFA leadership positions and was elected to the Texas State 4-H Council.
Those experiences taught me the values of hard work, service, responsibility, and the importance of community.
After high school, I attended Blinn College and Texas A

I served in the United States Army, and later worked as an instructor/trainer for the Department of Defense program, specializing in field and air defense artillery.
My work with the Army, Air Force, and German Army (Bundeswehr) for NATO included coordinating civilian contractors with DOD/Pentagon projects.

Upon my return to the United States, I earned multiple Microsoft Engineer certifications. I worked on technology projects, including banks, Electronic Data Systems, the Houston Police Department, and Harris County Sheriff's Department.
I also served as a Project Manager with Stewart & Stevenson Heavy Manufacturing Services in West Houston.
